Steve Murray Director/Producer

Steve has an extensive background in audio/visual communications having been involved in the industry since 1978. His programmes have been core components in training strategies and marketing campaigns for many of his clients.

Strengths include:

· The ability to fully grasp and manage the communication goal in every production.

· Organising the logistics of complex shoots including liaising with all stakeholders in project.

· Considerable experience directing professional talent, in both dramatic roles and as presenters.

· Drawing relaxed and effective performances out of nervous interviewees and “non-professional” talent.

· Extremely experienced in all technical aspects of production for which he takes direct responsibility.

Craft award for Audio Design – "Auckland City 2020"

In 2008 Steve embarked on his most ambitious project to date: directing a major broadcast documentary looking at the life and science of Charles Darwin. This program has been completed with a 2009 release date.

Although he also works as an award-winning advertising Creative Director, video is his favourite medium because it allows the telling of substantial stories to interested audiences. He particularly enjoys translating complex technical or scientific material into terms everyone can understand.
